Return of documents
Document/Passport can be collected from the India Passport & Visa
Services Centre where the application has been lodged and for applicants
who have opted for Document/Passport return courier will receive
their documents at the given address during lodging the application.
Please Note: It is suggested to the check status of the application
in our website www.vfs-in-au.net
with your passport/ reference number only after the processing time
stated has lapsed.
Document/Passport collection at the India Passport & Visa Services
Centre 1030 hrs- 1500 hrs: Mon- Fri except on declared holidays.
Applicants who wish to collect their documents at the India Passport
& Visa Services Centre will need to produce:
- Original receipt issued at the application centre at the time
of submission
- Data page of the passport with the VFS stamp
Please Note:
If applicants wish to assign a third party to collect the passport
on their behalf, the authorized person needs to produce:
- Original receipt issued at the application centre at the time
of submission
- Bio page of the passport with the VFS stamp
- Letter of authorization from the principal applicant.
- Photocopy of the ID card of the authorized person.

Please Note:
There is no return courier service for OCI application as applicants
need to come in person/representative after receiving notification
