Police Clearance Certificate(PCC)
This is a document issued by the Consulate/High Commission, certifying that the applicant has never been involved with the Indian police, and required when a person applies for emigration status to countries.
Foreign nationals applying for PCC are required to state the period of stay in India. Documentary proof of stay to be provided viz: Study/ Work certificates etc.
PCC Online Applications will be unavailable from 26 January 2012 till 29 January 2012. The services will be available from 30 January 2012.

Police Clearance Certificate Application

Step 1
Read the requirements and gather details to prepare your application.

Step 2
Complete the application ONLINE, download & print the form/s, read and complete checklist

Step 3
Check fees payable and payment Fees are also automatically calculated once you apply Online.

Step 4
Sign form/s and checklist at all indicated places

Step 5
Ensure photos are as per specifications

Step 6
Check processing times based on your requirements. Remember this can take 4 weeks to 2 months to process and your original passport cannot be withdrawn during processing. If you need to withdraw your passport you will need to lodge a fresh application once again.

Step 7
Attach all supporting documents required as per the checklist. Make sure your application is complete. Incomplete applications cannot be accepted and will be returned.

Step 8
Submit your application based on jurisdiction by Express Post/Courier in person or through a representative (where you reside determines where you need to submit your application)

Step 9
Track your application online. If your application is not processed in 4 weeks it will take 2 months to process and cannot be fast tracked.

Step 10
Your completed application will be returned to you by the mode of delivery selected by you once processed.
