Photographs should be in color and strictly as per the specifications below.
Taken against a light colored (WHITE/OFFWHITE Preferred) background so that features are distinguishable and in contrast against the background. Printed on photographic paper.
Frame Subject with Full Face, Front view, Eyes open.
Should show full face (without sunglasses and normally without a hat or cap). Head coverings are not permitted except for Religious reasons, but the facial features from bottom of chin to top of forehead and both edges of the face must be clearly shown.
The face should be in the middle of the frame.
Provide recent photographs (not more than 6 months old)
Two photographs 2inch x 2inch as per specifications above (1 pasted on the form and one needs to be u-clipped with the application)

Please Note:

There is one self-service Photo-booth available at each of our centers in Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney. The photo-booth is a self operating standard Adult photo facility and cannot be adjusted to assist with Infant, Children or Special Needs applicants’ photographs.

India Drivers Licence Application

Step 1
Get your Licence details verified from the Regional Transport Office (RTO) in India from where you have originally obtained your licence. Your RTO will verify the information on your licence and provide you with a letter. This is the first step of the application process and must be completed by you. If you are in Australia, you may need to request a friend/family member to take a copy of your licence to the RTO in India to obtain the verification letter. The original letter from the RTO will be required.

Read the requirements and gather all the information

Step 3
Complete the application ONLINE download & print the form/s, read and complete checklist

Step 4
Check fees payable and payment options. Fees are calculated automatically on the online application

Step 5
Sign form/s and checklist at all indicated places

Step 6
Ensure photos are as per specifications

Step 7
Check processing times based on your requirements. Processing times are generally 5 working days. Incomplete applications will lead to an increase in processing time and applicants will need to comply with any changes in the procedure that may occur during this time.

Step 8
Attach all supporting documents required as per the checklist. Make sure your application is complete.

Step 9
Submit your application based on jurisdiction by Express Post/Courier in person or through a representative (where you reside determines where you need to submit your application)

Step 10
Track your application online.

Step 11
Your completed application will be returned to you by the mode of delivery selected by you once processed.
