How to Apply

OPTION 1

Submission of application in Person/Representative/Travel agent at the India Passport & Visa Services Centre

Applicants can download the application form from the HCI/ CGI site and submit the completely filled and signed form along with recent passport photographs & other supporting documents depending upon the type of application, with the applicable fees in person at the India Passport & Visa Services Centre according to their jurisdiction between 0830 Hrs - 1500 Hrs. (Sydney Time Mon-Fri)

OPTION 2

Mail in your application to one of the India Passport & Visa Services Centre as per your Jurisdiction

Applicants can lodge their application by mailing it to India Passport & Visa Services Centre in Canberra, Sydney or Melbourne as per your jurisdiction.

Payment type in Bankers Cheque (Demand Draft)/ Money Order favoring VFS Services Australia Pty Ltd will only be accepted. No postal application with cash payments or personal cheques will be accepted.

Please include return courier fees of AUD 16.50 (inclusive of GST) per applicant.

OCI Application

By Postal or By Counter

1. For Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) / (OCI) with PIO Card, online application form filling is mandatory.
   
2. All completed and signed on line applications with supporting documents to be posted or submitted in person to the correct India Passport and Visa Services Centre according to your jurisdiction.
   
3. For OCI postal application, please include OCI fee, VFS Processing charges and Document/Passport return courier fee (Optional) in Bank Cheque (Demand Draft)/ Money Order made in favour of VFS Services Australia Pty Ltd. Please note cash and personal cheques will not be accepted by all postal application.
   
4. Cash will only be accepted if the applicant submit in person / representative / Travel Agent at the India Passport & Visa Service Centre.
   
5. You may track your application at our website www.vfs-in-au.net. Please check the approval of your OCI application at the HCI/ CGI site.
   
6. After approval of your OCI application, kindly submit your foreign passport(s), Indian passport(s) for cancellation/ renunciation form for canceling of Indian passport(s) can be downloaded from the HCI/ CGI sites and your PIO card(s) in case if you are a PIO card holder.
   
7. For postal application, if you have not purchased our return courier at your initial submission of your OCI application, please include a self addressed envelope.
   
8. For counter application, please collect your passport at the centre of your initial submission, bringing along your receipt acknowledgement and stamped bio page passport copy.
